What is Cloud Counsel?
Cloud Counsel is a secure online platform that lets clients work with J. Madison PLC on legal matters. It provides tools for building a detailed case file, communicating with the firm, managing documents, and tracking the timeline of events in your case. When an attorney is engaged on your matter — through a paid service, contingent-fee acceptance, or complimentary review — they collaborate with you in the same place.
Who uses Cloud Counsel?
- Clients and prospective clients — build your case file, communicate with the firm, track billing, sign agreements, and manage every aspect of your legal matter through a personal portal.
- Contributors — witnesses and other individuals invited to share what they know about relevant events. Contributors answer questions, add timeline events, and review shared documents.
- Agents — authorized individuals who manage a case on someone else's behalf, such as a family member or caregiver.
- Co-counsel — other attorneys and law firms who collaborate on matters, browse case listings, submit proposals, and manage their own firm.
- Firm staff — attorneys, paralegals, and administrators at J. Madison PLC who manage cases, billing, users, and all internal operations.
