AI That Understands Employment Law

Claim IdentificationStatute of Limitations AnalysisCase Strength ScoringRed-Team BriefingAI Document Review

Wigmore analyzes your case file to identify potential legal claims, assess the strength of your evidence, review your documents for relevance and exhibit strength, flag approaching deadlines, and even draft anticipatory briefs — at a fraction of traditional cost.

Grounded in an Attorney-Curated Claims Library

Wigmore doesn’t guess at the law. When it analyzes your case, it matches your facts against the firm’s proprietary Claims Library — a structured body of employment-law claims that our attorneys build and vet by hand: the elements each claim requires, the deadlines that govern it, the damages and fee-shifting rules that drive its value, the defenses the other side will raise, and the legal authority behind every one of those assertions. Every library entry is reviewed by a licensed attorney before Wigmore relies on it, so the analysis you see is anchored in verified law — not a language model’s best recollection.

Wigmore delivers attorney-designed legal analysis, crafted by Attorney Jacob M. Small, within your privileged case file. Like any AI it can make mistakes — attorney review of its output is available.

Confidentiality

Your chatbot won’t claim privilege. We’re a law firm.

Courts have started ordering litigants to hand over their conversations with consumer AI chatbots. In a February 2026 federal ruling, a judge held that a litigant’s chats with a consumer AI product were protected by neither attorney-client privilege nor the work-product doctrine — a chatbot is not a lawyer, and the product’s own privacy policy undercut any expectation of confidentiality.

Cloud Counsel is built on a different footing. When you join, you sign a platform access agreement with J. Madison PLC — a law firm — and your case file and your conversations with Wigmore AI happen inside that attorney-client relationship. The AI providers that power Wigmore are engaged as confidential agents of the firm, the way law firms have long engaged interpreters, investigators, and litigation-support vendors.

No law firm can guarantee a privilege or work-product outcome. Courts are split on how these doctrines apply to AI, and results always depend on the jurisdiction and the specific facts of each matter. Cloud Counsel’s confidentiality framework applies to covered matters within the firm’s practice areas and jurisdictions. Attorney advertising.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cloud Counsel is a proprietary online platform, developed and maintained by Virginia Attorney Jacob M. Small, that allows clients and prospective clients to build a comprehensive case file for any employment law matter.

With access to Cloud Counsel, you can build your case file online. Build a timeline of events, tell us who is involved and how, and upload any documents you have. This allows us to better understand your case and how to help you.

Modern employment law litigation is complex and expensive. At J. Madison PLC, we believe the best way to position a case is to prepare to try it to a jury. That means building a comprehensive case file early.

By using our app to collect the facts, witnesses, and evidence before we decide what contingent-fee cases to fight, we bring better cases with more preparation and better results, improving access to justice for employees.

Any American employee with concerns about their employment relationship. Cloud Counsel is a limited-scope legal service available nationwide under our written platform agreement—build your case file, run AI claim analysis, and work with Wigmore from any state. If you have a potential federal claim (EEOC, MSPB, whistleblower, False Claims Act retaliation), you can apply for contingent-fee representation from your dashboard. If your matter needs counsel licensed in your state, our co-counsel marketplace can connect you with an attorney who can help.

Cloud Counsel for Co-Counsel gives affiliate firms access to our platform, our AI analysis engine, and our case referral marketplace. Browse anonymized case listings, request access to promising cases with client consent, and propose representation — all within the platform. You review and sign the full subscription agreement during onboarding, before any commitment. Start here.

Your case file lives on Google Cloud infrastructure and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access controls are enforced at the database level and re-checked server-side on every sensitive operation, so your documents, timeline, and messages are visible only to you, the people you invite to your case, and the attorneys working on it. Signed agreements are recorded with a content fingerprint, timestamp, and signer IP so they cannot be silently altered.

Payments are processed by LawPay (AffiniPay), the legal industry’s standard payment processor — your card number is tokenized and never stored on our servers. And because Cloud Counsel is run by a law firm, your information is protected not just by technology but by the professional duty of confidentiality every attorney owes under the Rules of Professional Conduct.
